Released Friday, March 2nd 2012!
Project X is a comedy film produced by Todd Philips (Producer of The Hangover, The Hangover Pt. 2, Old School, and Road Trip). Phillips is one of the best producers of our generation and understands what it takes to make a good film.
Project X is about a high school teenager who is turning 17 (Thomas) and his friends decide to throw a wild party at his house while his parents are away. It was meant to be a low key party but a mass text message was sent throughout the school and hundreds of people end up showing up. Cops try to break the party up and even they are forced to retreat and to bring in the SWAT team. The film is rated R; there is strong language and scenes. There is drug reference also.
During its first weekend, the film made 20.7 million and has attracted a younger crowd; mainly 17-25 years of age. It has gotten great reviews and should end up grossing 100 million. Although there is not quite anyone famous in the film, it has already made back the budget, plus more. The budget was 12 million and as of March 8th, it has made nearly 26 million. Expect this number to increase drastically this upcoming weekend.

This looks like a good movie. I loved the hangover and Old School so I'm sure Todd Philips did a good job with this one as well --JD--
ReplyDeleteI just saw this movie! The movie theater was filled with a bunch of 13 year old kids. It was a pretty funny movie, definitely not meant for a 13 year old though. Some parts were ridiculous but it definitely made me want to go party afterwards!
