21 Jump Street is a new comedy starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. The two are former high school classmates who end up in the police academy together and form an unlikely friendship due to their pairing as partners on the squad. Based on the coming attractions I think Jonah Hill will bring a good quality of humor, just like he did in his breakout role in "Superbad."
Channing Tatum has had a lot of serious roles in his career such as "Dear John" and "Step Up", however I think he does a good job adjusting to the comedy scene ever since his role in movies like "She's the Man" and "The Dilemma."
Even though the main plot of the movie has been done before, where older police officers or reporters go under cover in high schools and pose as students (never been kissed), I think this will still be a funny movie because of the pairing of the two stars and their contrasting comedy styles.

Well done dude!
After seeing the trailer for this movie, I thought it looked "ok." But after reading you post, I think it sounds really good. I loved Jonah Hill in "Superbad," and I am excited to see how his character works will Channing Tatum's character in the upcoming movie.

Whereas I don't really like Jonah Hill, personally I think he plays the same roles in every movie, I'm intreagued by 21 Jump Street. I believe Channing Tatum is more of a well-rounded actor.

I think this movie does look similar to a lot of other movies but it looks like it might be able to pull off being different in some way and actually good.
ReplyDeleteThis movie looks funny I wouldn't mind going to see it. I don't really care for Channing Tatum too much but I do find Jonah Hill funny.
